<p>Emergency Breaking Unit. "NIGO" Abstract. According to reports by the World Health Organization (WHO) every year the number ofvictims of fatal traffic accidents is growing. Victims and casualties, as well as destroyed carsare the resul of accidents happening on the slippery and icy toads of the northern hemisphere, where winter lasts for a few months and the roads are frozen, If translated into monetary terns all the costs associated with the above mentioned accidents exceed several billion dollars worth of damages The ain of invention is threefbld: . We developed a unit that would make an emergency stopping of the car possible. Most importantly, there will be no change in the direction of motion of a motor vehicle in the process in comparison, the cars on studded tires have their braking distance several times longer and most importantly, skid and change the direction 2. Our invention is also utilising an old handbrake to be mounted inside the car. By adding an additional hole on the trunk of tie handbrake (see pic. 41) the device can be locked to prevent the car theft once the strap-hedgehog is deployed. 3. By tripling the length of the bar and mounting it on any car my invention can be used to smooth and align the surface of any beach and to clear it of any waste too. An approximate speed ofaligning a beach, which is 40 meters wide, at a speed of5 ki/hi will be more than I km within 4 hours. - The total weight of this unit is approximately 15 kg; the mounting time is about 2fl hours; and dismantling time would take about 30 min - After installation the Em-iergency Breaking Unit "NIGO" is not visible from outside. Thc main part of "NIGO" is secured with eight bolts M10 on the rear frame of the car at an angle of 7 degrees for better cohesion with the slippery road's surface. - To install this unit on different types of cars it is necessary (see drawing number 3) to wield the brackets No. 10 and No. I i to the chassis No. 1 at a distance at which the strap-hedgehog should be at least 200mm. above the ground. - Axis No.2 (see pic.l) should be wielded to the top plate of "strap-hedgehog" under No. 13 and secured by eight bolts M10. The cost of this unit is incommensurable with the cost of human life, injuries, and smash repairs. The assembly of "strap-hedgehog" Item No I will be made of I 13 steel nails similar to what builders use for fasteners in the concrete surface.</p> |
