PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation device capable of translating a series of noun phrases existing in large amounts dramatically rapidly compared to a conventional machine translation device with accuracy.SOLUTION: The translation device translates a series of large amounts of noun phrases in such a manner that: a syllabic transcription assigning program creation unit 112 transforms the contents of dictionaries in a syllabic transcription dictionary 111 into a program logic such that the dictionaries serve as a syllabic transcription assigning program for assigning the syllabic transcription to a character string; a language-wise translation program creating unit 122 transforms the contents of dictionaries in a group of language-wise translation dictionaries into a program logic such that the dictionaries serve as a translation program for translating the syllabic transcription into a predetermined language; and a syllabic transcription assigning program execution unit 132 executes the syllabic transcription assigning program, and a language-wise translation program execution unit 134 executes the language-wise translation program. |
