PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a large declination and displacement between an axial core of a drive shaft and an axial core of a driven shaft.SOLUTION: In a tripod-type constant velocity universal joint, a connecting member 30 for connecting a drive shaft 21 and a driven shaft 22 comprises a pair of outer rings 31 and 36 which are connected to the drive shaft 21 and the driven shaft 22, respectively, and a tripod member 40 for connecting both the outer rings. Three pieces of track grooves 32 and 37 extending in an axial direction are formed at internal peripheries of both the outer rings 31 and 36 at an interval of 120° in a circumferential direction, three protrusions 42 and 47 which can transmit torque by being slidably accommodated in the track grooves 32 and 37 in the axial direction are formed at axial both ends of the tripod member 40, and the three protrusions 42 at one end part of the tripod member 40 in the axial direction and the three protrusions 47 at the other end part in the axial direction are set so as to be displaced with respect to each other in angles at 60° around an axial core of the tripod member 40. |
