<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door check device with a simple constitution capable of generating large retaining force at an arbitrary open position.SOLUTION: A door check device 1 includes a case 2, a rod-like member 3, a pinion gear 4 rotated by axial movement of the rod-like member 3, an inner case 5 fixed and disposed in the case 2 and having a magnetic fluid enclosed in an inside thereof, a vane wheel connected to the pinion gear 4 and rotated in the inner case 5, a retaining member 7 disposed in the case 2 to be movable between an original position and an operation position, a permanent magnet 8 retained by the retaining member 7 to be disposed in a position where magnetic force is applied to the magnetic fluid when the retaining member 7 is in the original position and to be disposed in a position where the magnetic force is not applied to the magnetic fluid when the retaining member 7 is in the operation position, a pair of compression springs 9a and 9b for imparting elastic force to the retaining member 7 so that the retaining member 7 is returned to the original position, and a pair of friction members 10a and 10b attached to the retaining member 7 and frictionally engaged with the rod-like member 3.</p> |
