A guide device is provided for guiding sliding movement of an armrest of a vehicle seat, the device comprising a guide rail, a sliding rail, and at least one slide, wherein the slide is arranged in an installed deformed state using a first spring element region formed on the slide and a second spring element region located a distance therefrom to contact an inner side of the sliding rail. A third spring element region is formed between the first and the second spring element regions interconnecting the first and second spring element regions. In the installed deformed state, the third region is formed in a curve at a distance from an inner side of the sliding rail and in the non-installed undeformed state, the third region is formed in a straight line. |
