1. A mattress assembly comprising:
a mattress frame comprising a base surrounded by a sidewall defining a recess, the mattress frame having a head, a foot, and first and second sides extending therebetween; a plurality of elongate support elements disposed in the recess, each of the support elements having at least first and a second faces of different firmness, the elongate support elements arranged in the recess with selected faces oriented upwardly to form an upper mattress surface having a plurality of zones of different surface firmness. |
