<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which prevents detection light from being irradiated unintentionally.SOLUTION: A display device (projector 1) includes an image display part (image projection part 10) which displays an image, a detection light irradiation part (irradiation part 220) which irradiates the detection light, a reflected light detection part (position detection part 40) which detects the reflected light of the detection light reflected by an indication body (finger H1), an operation reception part (operation panel 21) which receives an operation with respect to the display device, a message display part (OSD processing part 32) which displays a first message on the image display part, before the detection light irradiation part starts the irradiation of the detection light, a determination part (control part 20) which determines whether or not the detection light is irradiated according to operation contents received by the operation reception part, during the display of the first message, and a control part 20 which allows the detection light irradiation part to irradiate the detection light, when the determination part determines that the detection light can be irradiated, but not allows the detection light irradiation part to irradiate the detection light, when the determination part determines that the detection light cannot be irradiated.</p> |
