PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that forms images by using a toner, and a technology that achieves suppression of both a reduction in throughput of printing and a reduction in image quality.SOLUTION: A printer 100 determines whether or not a mark forming time, which is a time required for forming a mark for correction, falls within a pre-formation stirring time, which is a time for causing an agitator 71 in a toner storage part 70 to stir a toner before causing an image forming unit 10 to form images. The printer 100 causes the image forming unit 10 to form the mark for correction within the pre-formation stirring time provided that the mark forming time falls within the pre-formation stirring time.
