PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit capable of obtaining information useful for the analysis of a cause for the reset of a microcomputer.SOLUTION: An electronic control unit 11 comprises: a microcomputer 25 and monitoring means 29 and 31 monitoring an operation performed by the microcomputer 25, and outputting a reset signal to the microcomputer 25 if determining that abnormality occurs to the microcomputer 25, and the microcomputer 25 includes acquisition means acquiring time information from outside; determination means determining whether the microcomputer previously stops operating by an unknown cause; and time calculation means calculating stop time information (RTIME) representing time for which the microcomputer 25 stops operating from the time information acquired by the acquisition means before the microcomputer 25 stops operating and the time information acquired by the acquisition means after the microcomputer 25 is activated most recently, and storing the calculated stop time information in a time storage unit 44c. |
