PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED unit and a lighting fixture using the same having a relatively simple configuration and capable of making the configuration excellent in mass productivity.SOLUTION: An LED unit 10 includes: a tabular base 1; a light emitting device 3 using an LED chip as a light source and arranged on a first surface 1aa side of the base 1; a holder 2 for fixing the light emitting device 3 to the base 1; a spacer 6 arranged between the light emitting device 3 and the base 1; and a translucent cover member 9 arranged on a light emitting surface side of the light emitting device 3 and mounted on the base 1. The cover member 9 has a bottomed cylindrical body part 9a and a caulking part 9g provided on a peripheral part 9d of the body part 9a and fixed to the base 1. The spacer 6 forms a gap 1G between the base 1 and the peripheral part 9d.
