摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator capable of suppressing stagnation of a liquid phase refrigerant inside a lower header part at the off time of a compressor.SOLUTION: An evaporator 1 has two tube rows 3 comprising a plurality of heat exchange tubes 2, 2A. Both upper and lower end parts of the heat exchange tubes 2, 2A on a leeward side tube row 3 are connected to both upper and lower header parts 5, 6 while being inserted in both upper and lower header parts 5, 6 respectively. At one end part of the leeward side upper header part 5, a refrigerant inlet 9 is provided. In the leeward side tube row 3, one upward flow tube group 15 comprising the plurality of heat exchange tubes 2A in which the refrigerant flows from down to up, and one downward flow tube group 14 comprising the plurality of heat exchange tubes 2 in which the refrigerant flows from up to down are provided. A lower end of the heat exchange tube 2A which configures the nearest upward flow tube group 15 nearest to the refrigerant inlet 9 is located lower than the central part of height inside the leeward side lower header part 6.</p>
