FORMATION OF GUILDS IN A CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT

In a cloud computing environment, a server application hosted by a server may form a plurality of guilds by clustering multiple network terminals of similar performance together. The server application may then allocate computing resources to the guilds accordingly.

1. A method, comprising:
generating, for each of a plurality of network terminals, a performance vector that indicates a computational capability of a corresponding one of the plurality of network terminals; forming a plurality of guilds by, for each of the guilds, clustering two or more of the plurality of network terminals, for which the respective performance vectors are within a predetermined threshold value range of each other; and allocating at least one of the plurality of guilds to a cloud server that provides executable contents to the plurality of network terminals.
