Provided are an image sensor and a monitoring system. The image sensor comprises: a colour film, which with regard to light of the infrared waveband, only allows infrared light having a specific wavelength to pass through, and which comprises a plurality of filters for n colours, each filter corresponding to one colour, and being used for dividing visible light within incident light into light of the n colours; a photosensitive chip, including a signal processing circuit and a plurality of photosensitive units, the plurality of photosensitive units respectively sensing the light intensity of light passing through the plurality of filters for the n colours and generating an electrical signal corresponding to the light passing through the plurality of filters for the n colours, the signal processing circuit processing the electrical signal to perform imaging, a gain ratio of the signal processing circuit on the electrical signal being A1 : A2 : ··· : An, and a light intensity passing-through ratio of the plurality of filters for the n colours on the infrared light having the specific wavelength being 1 : (A1/A2) : ··· : (A1/An). The colours of a captured image are consistent with those observed by a human eye, and when visible light is relatively weak and infrared light relatively strong, a clear black and white image may be photographed. The image sensor of the present invention has a wide range of applications, and is convenient and reliable. |
