With this configuration, gear shift under the high-number-of-revolutions keeping control is promptly executed at a shift step amount at which the difference is smaller than the predetermined number of revolutions α and at which it is difficult for a driver to recognize a shift shock or the like, and gear shift under the high-number-of-revolutions keeping control is started with a driver's accelerator operation at the predetermined opening &bgr; or higher acting as a trigger at a shift step amount at which the difference is equal to or greater than the predetermined number of revolutions α and at which it is easy for the driver to recognize the shift shock or the like. |
