PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a cylinder internal pressure sensor integrated with a glow plug for carrying a current to a heating body for purposes of decomposing and removing deposits accumulated in a combustion chamber, capable of highly accurately estimating a deposition amount of the deposits.SOLUTION: If only smoke is generated, a sensor sensitivity hardly changes from an initial value (FIG. 5(a)). On the other hand, if both smoke and unburned HC are generated, the number of times at which the sensor sensitivity is equal to or lower than the initial value increases (FIG. 5(b), (c)). These results show that deposits are produced by the co-presence of the unburned HC and the smoke. Furthermore, in the same concentration condition for the unburned HC, a degree of reduction in the sensor sensitivity becomes larger as the concentration of smoke is higher (FIG. 5(b), (c)). This results indicate that the unburned HC has a greater contribution to forming the deposits even on the premise that both the smoke and the unburned HC are present. |
