<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yield improvement method for a papermaking raw material in a papermaking process using a yield improver, specifically to provide a yield improver and a yield improvement method which exhibit high yield improvement effect even to a papermaking raw material having a high fine fiber content and ash ratio.SOLUTION: Provided is a yield improver comprising a cationic or amphoteric water-soluble polymer, a charge inclusion rate of which is less than 10.0%. By adding the same to a papermaking raw material before papermaking, a high yield can be obtained even with a papermaking raw material having a high fine fiber content and ash ratio, and improvement of productivity and paper quality can be achieved. Especially, the method is preferably applied to a papermaking raw material having a fine fiber content ratio of 15 mass% or more.</p> |
