PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus with high output density and high efficiency.SOLUTION: The power conversion apparatus includes a main circuit section, a power detection section and a control circuit. The main circuit section includes an inverter that converts DC power supplied from a DC power supply into AC power and a filter that suppresses a harmonic component of AC power output from the inverter. The power detection section detects output power of the main circuit section. The control circuit controls on and off operations of a plurality of switching elements of the inverter on the basis of a plurality of carrier signals. The control circuit determines a frequency of a carrier signal as a maximum frequency when the output power is a maximum value and as a frequency lower than the maximum frequency when the output power is lower than the maximum value, respectively. |
