PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method therefor, the vehicle and method enabling completion of engine warming-up earlier than with conventional techniques.SOLUTION: In a case where a measurement value T of a water temperature meter 18 for measuring a temperature of cooling water 16 of a diesel engine 5 is less than a pre-set threshold Tp, an ECU 19 drives a motor generator 6 with a part of drive force of the diesel engine 5 so as to generate electricity if a load required to drive an HEV 1 is within a pre-set first load zone, or rotary-drives the motor generator 6 so as to assist a part of drive force of the diesel engine 5 if the load required to drive the HEV 1 is in a pre-set second load zone that is a higher load than in the first load zone. |
