PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum heat insulation material in which outer coverage materials comprising a heat melting layer with superior heat melting characteristic and gas-barrier characteristic are applied, immersion of gas and the like from an end part of the heat melting layer is effectively prevented and a heat insulation performance is improved.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a vacuum heat insulation material comprising a core material 2 and outer coverage materials 3 covering the core material 2 with its inner pressure being reduced and sealed. The outer coverage materials 3 comprise at least a heat melting layer 4 and a gas barrier material 5. The heat melting layer 4 comprises at least two layers of non-drawn iso phthalic acid modified polyethylene terephthalate with different copolymerization ratio of iso phthalic acid component, and a layer comprising iso phthalic acid modified polyethylene terephthalate with high copolymerization ratio of iso phthalic acid component becomes the inner-most layer.
