<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin production process that stably produces a polycarbonate resin having excellent optical characteristics, heat resistance, thermal stability etc. and having good quality uniformity.SOLUTION: When producing a polycarbonate resin by continuously feeding dihydroxy compound comprising a dihydroxy compound having fluorene skeleton in a portion of the structure, carbonic diester, and polymerization catalyst into two or more reactors arranged in multiple stages, to carry out melt polycondensation, the process is carried out under a condition in which the following conditions (A) to (C) are all satisfied: (A) polycarbonate resin discharged from the final reactor is fed to an extruder while in molten state; (B) a phosphorus compound comprising a particular moiety is added to the polycarbonate resin by the extruder; and (C) the addition amount of the phosphorus compound is 0.5 to 5 folds mole as phosphorus atom content per metal atom 1 mole of the polymerization catalyst.</p> |
