PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of performing static elimination of a recording medium placed on a placement surface.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a stage section 2 having ionizers 24 for generating ions in gas and blowing out the generated ions through air vent holes 29 provided at a placement surface placed on a recording medium; and a record section for performing recording with respect to the recording medium placed on the placement surface. It is preferable that the stage section 2 further have a ventilation flow passage 31 where one end portion continues to the air vent holes 29 and the ions are generated by the ionizers 24 in a flow passage and a fan 21 continuing to the other end portion of the ventilation flow passage 31 and being capable of obtaining an air supply state where air is blown into the ventilation flow passage 31 and an exhaust state where the gas in the ventilation flow passage 31 is exhausted.
