PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently increase the printing speed and obtain high print quality.SOLUTION: The printer includes: conveying means for conveying a recording medium on which patterns are to be printed in a predetermined conveying direction; resolution determining means for determining a resolution of the patterns along the conveying direction on the basis of the recording width of the recording medium and the pattern size of the patterns that is set by a user; print data generating means for generating print data on the patterns based on the resolution determined by the resolution determining means; and printing means for printing the print data generated by the print data generating means on the recording medium.
