a count unit that integrates density values of pixels of image data to obtain an integrated density value; an image forming unit that performs image forming on the image data by applying a print setting; a correction unit that corrects the integrated density value counted by the count unit, using a correction coefficient that depends on a job type and the print setting; and a unit that estimates a consumed toner amount based on the integrated density value corrected by the correction unit.
