PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance welder capable of making a bonding strength more stable and intensifying the bonding strength.SOLUTION: A resistance welder 100 comprises a pair of electrodes, i.e., a first electrode 101 and a second electrode 102 holding therebetween a layered body X in which an internal negative electrode terminal 52 and a negative electrode sheet 12 are built up along a layering direction of the layered body X, the first electrode 101 includes a tapered part 101A and a protruding part 101B provided in an end portion of the first electrode 101 abutting on the layered body X, the tapered part 101A being tapered to a tip end of the first electrode 101 and the protruding part 101B protruding from the tapered part 101A to the tip end of the first electrode 101, a surface of the protruding part 101B is a curved surface, and an angle &bgr; formed between a first tangent L1 in contact with a surface of the tapered part 101A and a second tangent L2 in contact with the curved surface of the protruding part 101B in a boundary between the tapered part 101A and the protruding part 101B is an obtuse angle. |
