PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in performance of an ALUA (Asymmetric Logical Unit Access) compliant storage device.SOLUTION: A storage control device 21, having a storage area and controlling a storage device equipped with a plurality of access paths for the storage area, comprises: an acquisition part 221 for acquiring load information 28, 29 showing a load of the plurality of access paths; a judgement part 222 for judging whether or not to switch the access paths to the storage area on the basis of the load information 28, 29; an extraction part 223 for selecting a candidate switching access path when it is judged by the judgement part 222 that the access path should be switched; and a switching indication part 224 for indicating switching to the candidate switching access path selected by the extraction part 223.
