PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a diaper having a good feeling of fitness.SOLUTION: An absorbent article manufacturing apparatus includes a transfer mechanism for transferring a lower band-like member and an upper band-like member in a transfer direction, an adhesion area formation mechanism for forming an adhesion area by attaching an adhesive to both sides of a cut place in the transfer direction about at least one between the lower band-like member and the upper band-like member, an elastic member arrangement mechanism for arranging a portion of the plurality of elastic members extended in the transfer direction so as to overlap the adhesion area, an overlaying mechanism for overlaying the lower band-like member and the upper band-like member so as to insert the elastic member therebetween, and an elastic member cutting mechanism having a first cutter for cutting the plurality of elastic members between cutting places adjacent to each other in the transfer direction and between two adhesion areas adjacent to each other in the transfer direction, a second cutter for cutting the elastic members at the cutting place, and an operation member for supporting the first cutter and the second cutter to operate in a prescribed direction. |
