摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric conversion element whose element characteristics do not degrade even when magnetization of a magnetic substance constituting the thermoelectric conversion element varies caused by an external environment.SOLUTION: The thermoelectric conversion element has: a first thermoelectric conversion unit element 10 including a first magnetic body layer 1 magnetized in a first direction and a first electromotive layer 2 that is magnetically connected to the first magnetic body layer on at least one of two surfaces facing the first magnetic body layer; and a second thermoelectric conversion unit element 20 including a second magnetic body layer 11 magnetized in a second direction being an almost reverse direction of the first direction and a second electromotive layer 12 magnetically connected to the second magnetic body layer at least on one of two facing surfaces of the second magnetic body layer. The first thermoelectric conversion unit element and the second thermoelectric conversion unit element are layered in a normal direction of an interface between the first magnetic body layer and the first electromotive layer and an interface between the second magnetic body layer and the second electromotive layer. The first magnetic body layer and the second magnetic body layer comprise materials expressing a spin Seebeck effect.</p>
