<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle beam medical treatment device which allows for measurement of energy of a charged particle beam on the upstream side of an irradiation device, and to provide an energy measurement method.SOLUTION: A charged particle beam medical treatment device 1 is provided with an energy measurement section (a photoelectron multiplier 25) for detecting the energy of charged particles that is lowered in the charged particle beam, i.e., the energy migrated from the charged particles to a medium by interaction of the medium filling the internal space S and the charged particle beam, in the degrader 20 of an energy selection system 4. Since the energy released from the charged particles passing through the degrader 20 can be measured, energy of a charged particle beam, passed through the degrader 20, can be calculated from the energy of a charged particle beam accelerated in a cyclotron 2.</p> |
