PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode active material which improves a charging/discharging characteristic of an electrode without reducing the electrode active material.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a metal nano-particle coated electrode active material comprises: a step of dissolving metal salt in solvent to prepare metal salt solution; a step of adding the metal salt solution with powder of an electrode active material to prepare mixed solution; a step of purging oxygen gas and nitrogen gas existing in the mixed solution by using argon gas and making the argon gas exist in the mixed solution; a step of adding alcohol to the mixed solution in which the argon gas exists; and a step of irradiating the mixed solution containing the argon gas and the alcohol existing therein with ultrasonic waves so that metal nano-particles deposit and adhere to the surface of the powder.
