<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica-based scale inhibitor which can suppress precipitation of a silica-based scale in a water system containing silica in water of a cooling water system, a boiler water system, a paper pulp production water system, a geothermal power generation water system, a reverse osmosis membrane device or the like and exhibits a sufficient effect for preventing precipitation of a silica-based scale even when a metal ion such as an aluminum ion, an iron ion and a zinc ion coexists in these systems.SOLUTION: There is provided a silica-based scale inhibitor in a water system which contains one or two or more compounds selected from a specific polyhydric alcohol and/or a derivative of a polyhydric phenol or a specific fatty acid monoamide as an active ingredient.</p> |
