The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing service information of public transportation and an operation method thereof, and to an apparatus for providing schedule information of public transportation and an operation method thereof, which are capable of detecting an area to which a user can move from a departure stop using public transportation, and intuitively displaying a variety of service information of the public transportation simultaneously going by way of the departure stop and the destination stop positioned in the area to which the user can move. According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed is an operation method of the apparatus for providing the service information of public transportation. The method comprises: a step of detecting the area to which the user can move from the departure stop based on the service information of at least one public transportation going by way of the departure stop - the service information including information on an identifying indicator, a route, arrival wait time and current location; and a step of displaying a map and the area to which the user can move. |
