1. A method for enhanced radio resource management in a public land mobile network, the public land mobile network comprising a user equipment, the user equipment comprising a mobility detecting sensor module and a memory, the method comprising:
generating, by the mobility detecting sensor module, a previous motion information and a current motion information, the current motion information being indicative of a current horizontal scalar acceleration value and/or of a current horizontal scalar velocity of the user equipment related to a current point in time or a current time interval, the previous motion information being stored in the memory and indicative of a previous horizontal scalar acceleration value and/or of a previous horizontal scalar velocity of the user equipment related to a previous point in time or a previous time interval; and transmitting, by the user equipment, a mobility status update information, indicative of the current motion information, to the public land mobile network, wherein the transmitting is based on a discrepancy between the current motion information and the previous motion information exceeding a predetermined threshold. |
