SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LISTENING TO TEAMS IN A RACE EVENT

A computer-implemented method and system allows a remote computer user to listen to teams in a race event. The method includes receiving audio signals from a plurality of audio sources at the race event; transmitting at least some of the audio signals to a remote computer; and filtering the audio signals as a function of the source of at least some of the audio signals so that at least some of the audio signals are not played by the remote computer and heard by the user.

1. A computer implemented method to provide data from a sporting event using an Internet to a plurality of remote computing devices remote from the sporting event, the data being from a plurality of sources having audio of the sporting event, the computer implemented method comprising:
providing a server having a processor operable to enable the server to communicate via the Internet to each of the remote computing devices and access a storage device having data from each of the plurality of sources having audio where at least some audio from some of the plurality of sources having audio occurred at the same time during the sporting event; transmitting with the server to each of the remote computing devices data for visually rendering indications of sources having audio available for rendering on each of the remote computing devices; receiving with the server from each of the remote computing devices a first indication of a first source having audio that the user of each remote computing device wants to render on the remote computing device of the user; transmitting with the server to each of the remote computing devices first audio data corresponding to each respective first indication that the user of each remote computing device wants to render on each respective remote computing device of each user; after transmitting to each of the remote computing devices the first audio data corresponding to each respective first indication, receiving with the server from each of the remote computing devices a second indication of a second source having audio that the user of each remote computing device wants to render on the remote computing device of the user, the second source having second audio data at least some of which occurred at the same time during the sporting event as data from each respective first source having audio; and transmitting to each of the remote computing devices with the server the second audio data corresponding to each respective second indication that the user of each remote computing device wants to render on each respective remote computing device of each user.
