Process for the preparation of N-hydroxy-1-(1-alkyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-1-phenylmethanimine derivatives of the general formula (I) in which R1 is phenyl optionally monosubstituted by halogen, cyano, nitro, C1-C8-alkyl, C1-C8-alkoxy, methylsulphonyl, trifluoromethyl or aryl, R2 is C1-C12-alkyl or C1-C12-haloalkyl, characterized in that (1) in a first step, 5-benzyl-1-methyl-1H-tetrazoles of the general formula (II) in which R1 and R2 have the meanings given above, are reacted with a nitrite derivative of the general formula (III) in which R3 is a C1-C12-alkyl in the presence of base with a pKa below 20. |
