PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can improve convenience for a user (reduce the time a user has to wait) without reducing the quality of read images.SOLUTION: A compound machine 100 (image reading device) starts gain setting processing in one of a color mode and a monochrome mode, after the completion of the gain setting processing in one mode, performs gain setting processing in the other mode, and when received an instruction to execute a reading job in one mode while performing the gain setting processing in the other mode, interrupts the gain setting processing in the other mode and executes the reading job in one mode. |
