<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception amplifier of low power consumption including an input signal amplitude detection function, in which restriction of circuit pattern layout is less.SOLUTION: An amplifier has an amplification unit 1 outputting an input signal while amplifying with an amplification factor depending on the control voltage (VGC), an amplitude detection circuit 14 for detecting the amplitude of a signal (SM) amplified by the amplification unit 1, and generating a detection voltage (VA) depending on the amplitude thereof, a gain control unit 2 generating a control voltage so as to reduce the difference between a detection voltage generated by the amplitude detection circuit and a reference voltage (VREF), and an adder 3 for adding the detection voltage generated by the amplitude detection circuit and the control voltage generated by the gain control unit while weighting.</p> |
