<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomic cell that can suppress decrease in the characteristics due to surplus metal atoms, and to provide a quantum interference device, an atomic oscillator, electronic equipment, and a mobile body including the atomic cell.SOLUTION: A gas cell 2 of the present invention includes: an alkali metal; a space S1 where a gaseous alkali metal is encapsulated; a space S2 where a liquid or solid alkali metal is disposed; and a space S3 that communicates the space S1 to the space S2 and has a portion with a smaller width than the width of the space S2.</p> |
