PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection data creation device for creating projection data on the basis of print data suitable for executing printing and a projection system.SOLUTION: The projection system includes a printer for performing printing on a printing object and the projection data creation device for creating the projection data for allowing a projector to project a projection image projected onto the printing object. The CPU of the projection data creation device acquires the print data for allowing the printer to execute printing (S1). The CPU acquires a background color value indicating a color applied to the background part of the print data (S3). The CPU applies the acquired background color value to the acquired print data, to create the projection data (S5).
