<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To homogenize a plastic material melt in a simple, effective, and efficient manner.SOLUTION: A device, to homogenize a plastic material melt (K), has a homogenizing element (41) with a plurality of flow channels (S-S), which differ with respect to at least one feature of the group length (L-L), cross sectional area, and cross sectional shape. When flowing through the homogenizing element, the plastic material melt is divided into a plurality of partial streams (T-T), which, in each case, flow through an associated flow channel. When leaving the respective flow channel, the partial streams have different flow speeds (v-v), so that the plastic material melt is expanded and sheared on transition to a uniform flow. As a result, the plastic material melt can be homogenized.</p> |
