摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an olivine type silicate compound capable of achieving a lithium ion battery which can effectively suppress generation of impurities and has excellent battery physical properties.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an olivine type silicate compound which comprises: mixing an organic acid transition metal salt represented by MSO(where, M represents Fe, Ni, Co, Al, Zn, V, Zr or Mn) or (R)M (where, R represents an organic acid residue and M represents Fe, Ni, Co, Al, Zn, V, Zr or Mn), a lithium compound and a silicate compound to obtain a mixture; subjecting the mixture to a hydrothermal reaction to obtain primary particles; and preparing a slurry at 20 to 50°C containing the resulting primary particles, followed by subjecting to filtration; and washing the slurry with 2.5 to 50 pts.mass of washing water based on 1 pts.mass of the solid content of the slurry.
