PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage space calculation device capable of calculating an article storage space that can suppress the deviation between a calculation result and a current state due to a situation in which a space is insufficient or excessive, and store articles necessary for manufacturing a product in a storage space without waste, regardless of shapes of the articles to be stored and circumstances of the moment.SOLUTION: A required quantity 105 is calculated for each article based on production plan information and component table information accumulated by finished product units. Then, a storage space 108 necessary for storing the required quantity is calculated by using article drawing information (height, width, depth, weight, etc.). Furthermore, an actual value of a storage space actually used for the storage in the past is compared with the storage space 108 calculated in the past, and a space necessary for actually storing and managing the articles for the storage space 108 calculated on the basis of the acquired information is calculated by calculation logic. |
