PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile with a transmission control function exerting a transmission control over power transmitted from an electric motor to driving wheels, capable of accurately finding a power loss at a time of the travel of an automobile body and improving energy efficiency at the time of the travel.SOLUTION: An automobile with a transmission control function comprises: an electric motor 3; and an actuator 22 actuating a transmission 17 to change gears, a loss calculation equation for calculating a power loss at a time of travel of an automobile body is transformed into a model with a change gear ratio of the transmission 17 as a variable by using power transmission characteristics as characteristic information on power transmission efficiency with respect to a change gear ratio of the transmission 17, automobile body characteristic information, electric motor characteristic information, a travel state, and an operation state, and a gear change control is exerted over the transmission 17 so as to reduce the power loss at the time of the travel of the automobile body based on the detected travel state and operation state and the loss calculation equation. |
