<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor of an electric reel with facilitated waterproofing of a case component and a lid component. <P>SOLUTION: The motor 4 of the electric reel drives a spool 3 rotatably supported on the reel body 1 of the electric reel. The motor 4 is provided with a cylindrical case component 31, a disklike lid component 32 and an output shaft 30. The case component 31 is fixed to a motor holder 27 of the reel body 1, and has a circular opening 31a on at least one end. The lid component 32 is fixed on the case component 31 and is a component for covering the opening 31a. The output shaft 30 is supported as rotatable to the case component 31 and the lid component 32. The lid component 32 has at least one recessed part for engagement 32c installed on the peripheral face with intervals from the end surface of one end side.
