<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system in which a balloon does not have a pinhole and falling of a stent can be suppressed, and to provide a method of manufacturing the stent delivery system. <P>SOLUTION: A stent has a wavy linear member 122 which extends in a circumferential direction and is capable of extending and contracting in a radial direction. The linear member 122 has at least first and second linear parts 124 and 126 of different amplitudes V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. A space S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>between the first linear parts 124 having the large amplitude V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is wider than a space S<SB POS="POST">2</SB>between the second linear parts 126 having the small amplitude V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and by holding a balloon (raised part 132) by the space S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>between the first linear parts, the stent engages with the balloon (raised part 132). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
