<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar cell and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A planar cell 100 comprises: a negative electrode structure layer 110; a first separator 120 placed on the negative electrode structure layer 110; a chlorophyll layer 130 placed on the first separator 120; a second separator 140 placed on the chlorophyll layer 130; a positive electrode structure layer 150 placed on the second separator 140; an upper flat plate 160; and a lower flat plate 170.
