摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma cutting method capable of improving the durability of an electrode without degrading the cutting performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the plasma cutting method, a plasma torch B is used, wherein the plasma torch B includes: an electrode A having an electrode gas passage through a barrel section with one end thereof being opened in a fore end face; a nozzle for forming a pilot arc between the electrode and the nozzle itself; an electrode gas supply passage 19 for supplying electrode gas to the electrode gas passage of the electrode; and a plasma gas supply passage 23 for supplying plasma gas to a space formed between the electrode and the nozzle; wherein electrode gas consisting of air, nitrogen gas or argon gas is supplied from the electrode gas supply passage, plasma gas is supplied from the plasma gas supply passage synchronously when the pilot arc and the main arc is formed, and a material to be cut is cut by the main arc consisting of mixed gas of the plasma gas with the electrode gas.
