<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the necessary amount of lubricant uniformly to an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A lubricant application device includes: a first roller 102 that is provided between an image carrier 43 and solid lubricant 103; and a belt-like rotor 104 that is rotatably laid around the outer periphery of the first roller 102. The belt-like rotor 104 rotates to obtain lubricant from the solid lubricant 103 at a portion held between the first roller 102 and the solid lubricant 103, and applies the obtained lubricant to the image carrier 43 at a portion where a nip N is formed between the image carrier 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
