摘要 The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for controlling the electronic stability of a vehicle, controlling the vehicle using the steering angle, velocity, turning speed, and lateral acceleration of the vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling the electronic stability of a vehicle comprises: a compensation moment calculation step of calculating the compensation moment in accordance with an error between a target turning speed that was calculated based on the steering angle and the velocity of the vehicle and the turning speed of the vehicle; a compensation moment comparison step of comparing the compensation moment calculated in the compensation moment calculation step with a first reference value and a second reference value; a primary vehicle control step of performing steering of a rear wheel when the compensation moment is the first reference value or more and less than the second reference value in accordance with a comparison result obtained in the compensation moment comparison step; and a secondary vehicle control step of simultaneously performing steering of the rear wheel and braking of the vehicle when the compensation moment is the second reference value or more in accordance with the comparison result obtained in the compensation moment comparison step.
