<p>A vehicle 101 includes a vehicle computer 105 that is configured to receive information, e.g., collected data 115, from one or more data collectors 110, such as sensors. The computer 105 includes an autonomous driving module 106 that comprises instructions for autonomously or semi-autonomously operating the vehicle 101 and is configured to identify a condition affecting the vehicle and/or a planned action of the vehicle and provide an instruction to actuate movement, e.g. long, or short vibrations, 180o, 360o rotation etc, of a steering wheel 103 which alerts a driver to the condition or action. The conditions, e.g. an obstacle in a roadway, are detected by the data collecors110 and the planned actions are determined and generated by module 106. Other conditions may include collision, a hazardous road, a deviation from a navigation plan, a determination that the vehicle is driving on a road shoulder, the vehicle violates speed limits, acceleration, deceleration, turning, and stopping.
