<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for a cylindrical battery capable of ensuring a sufficient inner volume of the battery while exhibiting excellent impact resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In an end-sealing gasket 23, a stress buffer part 37 is provided in the way of a disc-like part 34 connecting a boss 32 and a can contact part 33. The stress buffer part 37 has a first bend 37a and a second bend 37b bending acutely, and it is provided in a region closer to the can center side than a positive electrode mixture 12 when it is attached to a positive electrode can.
